Debi Puckett, Quality of Life Director opened the program by talking about the beginning of Veterans Day and why its observed on November 11th and read the poem “It is the Soldier”. Each veteran received at Certificate of Recognition in appreciation of their tireless efforts in support of our United States Armed Forces and their dedication to our country. They also received a toy soldier with the saying Home of the Free Because of the Brave. Thank you veteran for your service. Let this soldier remind you of how much you are appreciated. Your sacrifice to serve and defend our country will never be forgotten. God Bless The USA!

After enjoying some refreshments everyone was asked to take a toy soldier home and place it somewhere that will remind them to pray for our men and women serving our country. After the reception the box of toy soldiers was placed at the front entrance for visitors and care partners to take one as a remembrance of the men and women past, present and future who serve and protect our freedom.
